J. ANDREW SALEMME, ESQ.


Mr. Salemme is an attorney at Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He has served as PCRA conflicts counsel in Washington County, Pennsylvania and also represents private PCRA clients.  Mr. Salemme has lectured for CLE courses on the PCRA, Pennsylvania sentencing, and Birchfield v. North Dakota.  He has practiced law in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Centre, Clarion, Fayette, Jefferson, Mercer and Washington Counties as well as in the federal Western District of Pennsylvania and pro hac vice in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  

 

He was formerly employed by the Honorable Mary Jane Bowes of the Pennsylvania Superior Court in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he specialized in providing legal research and writing assistance in criminal law and post-conviction relief matters.  In addition, he previously served as a law clerk in the Washington County Court of Common Pleas.  Mr. Salemme served as an Associate Comment Editor for the Duquesne Law Review and was the 2007 first place winner of the National Rifle Assocation law student essay contest.  Prior to law school, Mr. Salemme graduated magna cum laude with a degree in history from Susquehanna University.
